TSP Substitute

Klean-Strip® Tri-Sodium Phosphate Substitute is a powerful liquid that cleans, degreases, and deglosses surfaces prior to painting or refinishing. It easily removes grease, grime, smoke residue, food stains, chalky residue, crayon marks, mildew stains, and old wallpaper paste. Ideal for use on interior and exterior hard surfaces such as walls, ceilings, floors, concrete, patio furniture, gutters and decks. Cleaning ingredients in this product are biodegradable.

   

Though this product is no longer available for sale, we continue to provide the “Directions for Use” and product documentation to support Klean-Strip® customers who have previously purchased this product. 

Directions For Use

Wear chemical-resistant gloves and chemical splash goggles.

For heavy-duty degreasing and deglossing: Shake well and pour into plastic pail. Do not dilute. Soak a sponge or white cloth in solution and wring out. Wipe down surface, frequently re-wetting sponge or cloth in fresh solution. Let stand 2-3 minutes then wipe surface with a clean cloth, turning frequently. Heavily soiled areas may require scrubbing or repeat applications.

For removal of mildew stains: Shake well and pour into plastic pail. Add one cup of chlorine bleach per quart of product and stir well. Soak a sponge or white cloth in solution and wring out. Wipe down surface, frequently re-wetting sponge or cloth in fresh solution. Let stand 3-5 minutes then wipe surface with a clean cloth, turning frequently.

For siding & other exterior jobs: Apply by pressure washer or plastic pump-up sprayer. Rinse surface with a hose to remove loosened soils.

IMPORTANT: Carefully read all cautions and directions before use.

CAUTION! EYE & SKIN IRRITANT. HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED. Contains Sodium Metasilicate and 2-Butoxyethanol. Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged contact with skin. Do not take internally.

FIRST AID - IF SWALLOWED, do not induce vomiting. Drink one or two glasses of water and call your poison control center, hospital emergency room or physician immediately for instructions.

IN CASE OF EYE CONTACT, immediately flush with water, remove any contact lens and continue flushing with water for at least 15 minutes, then get immediate medical attention.

IN CASE OF SKIN CONTACT, irritation may result. Immediately wash with soap and water. If irritation persists, get medical attention.
