  1. Carbon monoxide detectors are recommended whenever combustible fuels are used indoors.
  2. Always empty any fuel left in your heater at the end of the season. Fuel left in the heater may accumulate moisture that can clog the wick.

Klean-Heat®

  1. Always follow your kerosene appliance manufacturer’s directions for fueling, ignition and all other activities associated with the use of the appliance.
  2. Turn off kerosene appliance and allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before refueling.
  3. Move the appliance, or its portable tank, outside the living area.
  4. Fill on a level surface, being careful to avoid spilling.
  5. Wipe off any excess fuel and close Klean Heat® container and fuel tank.
  6. Move appliance to desired location to ignite.

STORAGE: Do not use or store this product near any source of heat or open flame, furnace areas, pilot lights, stoves, etc. Keep it in a cool, dry spot. Keep container closed when not in use.

IMPORTANT: Carefully read all directions, notes and cautions prior to use. Only use this product as directed on the label. Do not use for any other purpose. Do not mix with any other product. Protect hands with solvent-resistant gloves and eyes with chemical splash goggles when handling. Factory filled at one gallon - over time permeation may cause minimal product loss.

USE ONLY WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION TO PREVENT BUILDUP OF VAPORS. If strong odor is noticed or you experience slight dizziness, headache, nausea or eye-watering - STOP - ventilation is inadequate. Leave area immediately. Inadequate ventilation of portable heaters can cause fatal levels of carbon monoxide to accumulate.

Contains Petroleum Distillates. Reports have associated repeated and prolonged overexposure to solvents with neurological and other physiological damage. Intentional misuse of this product by deliberately concentrating and inhaling vapors can be harmful or fatal. Do not take internally. Avoid breathing of vapors or mist and contact with skin, eyes or clothing.

FIRST AID - IF SWALLOWED, call your poison control center, hospital emergency room or physician immediately for instructions. IN CASE OF EYE CONTACT, immediately flush with water, remove any contact lens, continue flushing with water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation persists, get medical attention. IN CASE OF SKIN CONTACT, irritation may result. Immediately wash with soap and water. If irritation persists, get medical attention.

What is the difference between Klean Strip® Klean-Heat® and regular kerosene?
Klean-Strip® Klean-Heat® is a more refined product. The majority of sulfur has been removed from the product so that it has no odor in liquid form or when burned.

Where do I store Klean Strip® Klean-Heat?
In a cool, dry area away from sources of heat or sparks, with the cap screwed on tightly.

What is the shelf life of Klean Strip® Klean-Heat?
The shelf life is three years unopened, six months once the container is opened.
